Non Invasive Laser

Non invasive laser allows the pet's body to heal easier and enable your pet a quicker return to normal lifestyle.  There are generally no side effects and it will stimulate they body rather than using any additional medications.  Soft tissue inflammation or swelling can be treated.  The number of treatments depends on the severity of the condition being treated.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy utilizes infrared light to stimulate cell regeneration and increase blood circulation.  The therapy will decrease pain and inflammation and promotes faster healing time.

What To Expect

There is no sedation required and restraint is minimal.  Most pets find the treatment pleasant and comforting.  Although improvement maybe seen after the first visit, most patients require several treatments for the greatest benefit.  Generally ranging from 3-12 treatments.  The actually treatment time varies in length, depending on your pet's condition.  Usually no longer than 2-8 minutes per site.

What NOT To Expect

  • Do Not expect a quick fix after one treatment
  • Laser therapy is not a cure for arthritis.

Q & A:

Q: Does it hurt?  What does a treatment feel like?

A: There is little to no sensation during the treatment.  Occasionally, your pet may feel mild, soothing warmth, or tingling.  Areas of pain or inflammation may be sensitive briefly before pain reduction.

Q: Are there any side effects or associated risks?

A: Very few side effects have been reported in the 20+ years of use by healthcare providers all over the world.  Occasionally some old injuries or pain syndromes may feel aggravated for a few days, as the healing response is more active after treatment.

Q: How long before the results are felt?

A: Your pet may feel improvement in their condition (usually pain reduction) after the first treatment.  Sometimes they will not feel improvement for a number of treatments.  This does not mean that nothing is happening.  Each treatment is cumulative and results are often felt after 3-4 sessions.

Q: Can it be used in conjunction with other forms of treatment:

A: YES! Laser therapy is often used with other forms of therapy, including physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, massage, soft tissue mobilization, electro-therapy and following surgery.  Other healing modalities are complementary and can be used with laser to increase the effectiveness of the treatment.
